~Tofu en la Eggs with Special Sauce~

Tofu is one of popular food in Indonesia, especially in Java called "Tahu". There are many factories for making tofu. And first time I ate tofu when I moved here in Java island :) and I like it. So here I found new recipe to work on tofu :) but if you are from other countries and you are not to used eating tofu then I suggest you to take chickens or potatoes, or any kind of food that you like instead tofu. So what's the special of this food? hmm I bet you already know that is its sauce...

Ingredients:
250g tofu
3 eggs
1tsp salt
vegetable oil

Ingredients for sauce:
3 cloves of garlic ( get fried)
4 red chilies ( depends on you if you dont like spicy then, dont add more ) get fried
5tbsp of fried peanuts (get fried)
2 limes
50ml water
50ml soy sauce

How to cook :
whisk eggs and salt, adding mashed tofu and mixing them all, then get into fried pan to be fried.
for sauce : mash the fried beans and also fried garlic and chilies, then pour our water of the limes, with soy sauce and water ( mix them all)
then serve the tofu egg with the sauce

Whatever you do, do it in love :)

Delvalina

I've only had tofu once, but I did not mind it at all... the problem is, it can get a bit pricey here. I could try it with potatoes. :D

This sounds very good and we would be using chicken or pork.

May I ask what kind of fried beans..are they long green beans?

Thank you for sharing your recipe today!

I don't usually eat tofu...I think I've had it in soup at the Chinese restaurant:) Your recipe sounds tasty though so maybe I will make it sometime for my lunch.

Love you,
Stephanie
I was a vegetarian for many years and ate tofu a lot. Thanks for the recipe :)
